In 1934 it was renamed Melbourne technical university until, in 1960, it finally got its name Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT). It was the first Australian university that offered tertiary education during World War II.

Scholarship and grants:

RMIT offers various scholarships and bursaries to high-achieving undergraduate and postgraduate students from India. Students can receive a certain amount for eligible courses:

  • Australia awards scholarships (country-specific requirement): Full fee waiver, which covers Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC), tuition fees, and provides a stipend, as well.
  • Future leaders scholarship (for undergraduate and postgraduate): 20% discount on tuition fees will be awarded to eligible students.
